While exploring Nandi the Bull at Chamundi Hill outside of Mysore, Karnataka, a group of girls were making their way to school. No bus was required for these young ladies as they traveled quickly along the paved path toward the school near Sri Chamundeswari Temple. Each of the girls was dressed in proper school attire, hair pulled back and satchel in tow. The only distinguishing item that separated each of them was their choice in footwear. My curiosity in them was captured in the photo seconds before their curious glances broke into giggly smiles.
