Just in time for the festive Christmas season, Maharashtra Tourism Development Corporation (MTDC) has announced plans for a new annual food festival to be held on December 24 and 25, 2011. Mumbai’s famous Gateway of India will serve as the backdrop for the first ever event, already being dubbed as the largest outdoor food festival. More than 20 different food stalls representing Mumbai restaurants and celebrity chefs will be highlighting traditional Maharashtra cuisine. Local restaurants will include Busaba, Falafels, Rajdhani, Mad Over Donuts, Food Box, Mocambo, Swati Snacks and Cafe Mocha.
Two days of food, music and dance are on tap for Maha Feast 2011, which will run from 12 pm (noon) to 10 pm both days.
