A typical budget guest house, this two story hodge-podge of rooms sits just off a main road. The Indian hotel is surrounded by a black iron rod gate enclosing a small private courtyard in the front. I had my breakfast here under a canopy of trees and birds chirping their morning songs. Outside of the gate there is just enough room for a few guest cars to park.

A negotiated rate allowed my travel partner and I to take two rooms. Both were adequate; western toilets, showers with hot water and comfortable enough beds. Internet was offered on a very outdated computer. The usual staff of young Indian men wear many hats here. They’ll check you in, run your bags to your room, bring you chai, and cook your meals in the on-site kitchen. Meals can be taken either on the main level or in-room.

Having spent more time during the last 3 trips in guest houses, Newton’s Manor was average. In a pinch I would seek out this budget hotel in Jodhpur should my future travels take me back again.
