• AC Train Travel Requires Photo ID After February 15 (UPDATED)

  Starting February 15, 2012, Indian Railways will require all passengers to provide a government issued photo ID when traveling with an AC I, II, or III ticket.   Talk of Indian Railways selling tickets to passengers directly through it’s own website has begun again. Currently tickets are available for sale at railway in stations, online via the Indian Railways Catering and Tourism Corporation (IRCTC) website, or through travel agents registered with IRCTC.
